I've never understood how people can read one book at a time. I think having anywhere between 5 and 10 (ususally closer to 10) to choose from at any time is much more comfortable. However, now and then I find that the pile on my night stand (and on the dining room table and in the study hall and on the window sill and in my bag and on the floor and, well, elsewhere...) just keeps growing and that I have become incapable of finishing anything. Most of this autumn has been such a period. But today, finally, the list of "stuff I'm reading at the moment" again contains less than 20 books - for the first time in months...
